Nurt Ognia zaintrygował mnie już w chwili, gdy o nim usłyszałem, nie mając okazji posłuchać żadnego z numerów. Bazowałem na tym, co pisał mi o tej muzyce Morgul (Putrid Cult, DeathEpoch). Później pojawiła się przesłana pocztą płyta i już od pierwszej chwili wiedziałem, że moje uprzednie odczucia o wyjątkowości tego projektu znalazły swoje potwierdzenie. Zresztą, pisałem Wam na łamach bloga o debiucie. Teraz przyszła kolej na kolejną, wydaną na fizycznym nośniku EPkę i również jestem pod jej wrażeniem. Muzyka tutaj jest wymagająca, wyjątkowa i nie dająca się wcisnąć w jeden gatunek; to po prostu ogólnie pojęte ekstremalne metalowe granie żyjące swoim własnym życiem. Na "4 Nurt Ognia" znajdziemy połączone ze sobą elementy black i doom metalu, elektroniki, ambientu i noise zespolonych zajadłym wokalem z polskimi tekstami. Co ważne, wciąż jest to muzyka surowa, o podziemnym brzmieniu, ale którą ciężko porównać do jakiegokolwiek istniejącego zespołu. Jest po prostu bardzo oryginalna. Gdy tego słucham, przemykają mi miejscami elementy Xarzebaal, Dagorath (w końcu to dzieło Upiora) nawiązania do starych materiałów Hermh czy December's Fire, ale to wciąż nikłe cienie w ogromie ekspresji i bogactwa tej pozornie prymitywnej w swym wyrazie sztuki. Boli mnie trochę fakt, że na Nurt Ognia jest tak mały odzew, do tak niewielu osób była w stanie ta muzyka dotrzeć, że dwa kolejne materiały zostały wypuszczone tylko jako pliki, a teraz czwarta EPka jako CD-R. Szkoda, bo to ambitny i mający sporo do zaoferowania projekt zawierający ciekawe inspiracje i rozwijający swoją formułę w pozornie wyeksploatowanej niszy podziemnego ekstremalnego metalu. Ze swojej strony bardzo Was zachęcam do sięgnięcia po "4 Nurt Ognia", jak i każdy inny materiał tego projektu.

Nurt Ognia had intrigued me from the moment I heard about it, not even having had the opportunity to listen to any of the songs. I was basing on what Morgul (Putrid Cult, DeathEpoch) told me about this music. Later, an album sent by post appeared and I knew from the very first moment that my previous feelings about the uniqueness of this project were confirmed. Anyway, I've written you about the debut here on the blog. Now it's time for another EP, released in a physical format, and I am also impressed. The music here is demanding, unique and impossible to squeeze into one genre; it is just extreme metal music living its own life. On "4 Nurt Ognia" we find elements of black and doom metal, electronic music, ambient and noise combined with fierce vocals with Polish lyrics. Importantly, it's still raw stuff with underground sound but hard to compare to any existing band. It's just very original. When I listen to this, the elements of Xarzebaal, Dagorath (its all work of Upiór after all) appear here and there, there is a little reference to the old materials by Hermh or December's Fire, but these are still faint shadows in the enormity of expression and richness of this seemingly primitive art. It's a shame that there is so little response to Nurt Ognia, that the music was able to reach so few people that two more materials were released only in digital form, and now the fourth EP as CD-R. It is a pity, because it is an ambitious project with a lot to offer, containing interesting inspirations and developing its formula in a seemingly exploited niche of underground extreme metal. From my side, I encourage you to check "4 Nurt Ognia", as well as any other material from this project.
