"Age of Capricorn" to siódmy krążek w dorobku zespołu, a drugi w barwach Debemur Morti. Album, mimo tego, że jest bardziej zimny i agresywny od poprzednika, uważam poniekąd za kontynuację "Lunaris". Mamy tu 6 długich kompozycji przepełnionych zimnymi i tnącymi niczym lód riffami. Płytę ubogacają klawiszowe tła, syntezatory, ale wszystko dodane tak misternie, że nie psuje tej Black Metalowej nawałnicy - zawartych tu muzycznych pokładów agresji - nadając jej przestrzenności i patosu. Wszystko to przywołuje na myśl nie tylko dawniejsze dokonania grupy, ale i tradycje gatunku sięgające wczesnych lat 90. Warto wspomnieć, że surowe, piwniczne brzmienie Arkona zostawiła już dawno za sobą. Teraz, choć wciąż ostre, przepełnione chłodem, jest bardzo dopracowane i potężne. Przez to ich muzyka zyskała może na większej przystępności, ale z drugiej strony nabrała również mocy i dojrzałości. Jest głębsza i jeszcze bardziej esencjonalna w swej wymowie niż kiedykolwiek przedtem.
"Age of Capricorn" jest bez wątpienia jednym z najlepszych osiągnięć Arkony, ale chwila, czy ten zespół kiedykolwiek nagrał słabą płytę?! No raczej nie! Kształtowało się tylko rzemiosło, a teraz widzimy tego owoce. Cieszy mnie bardzo, że zespół znalazł się w katalogu Debemur Morti. Bardzo szanuję tego wydawcę i uważam za jednego z czołowych, jeżeli chodzi o Black Metal. Widzieć nasz zespół obok taki tuzów jak Archgoat, Behexen czy Blut Aus Nord, to powód do dumy!
Arkona stworzyła album muzycznie doskonały, lirycznie intrygujący i udowadniający ich kultowy status na naszej i europejskiej scenie podziemnej! Nic, tylko słuchać! Mus!

I have always appreciated Arkona for their stubbornness and consequence in their art. They have been on the scene for over a quarter of a century and are constantly loyal to their ideals and Black Metal in its pure, spotless form. They were able to create their own characteristic style, which, I have the impression, is impossible to copy. The sound of Arkona changed slightly over the years, but their creative backbone always remained the same.
"Age of Capricorn" is the seventh album in the band's discography, and the second under the banner of Debemur Morti. The album, despite the fact that it is more cold and aggressive than its predecessor, appeals to me as a continuation of "Lunaris". We have 6 long compositions here filled with cold and ice-like riffs. The record is enriched by keyboard backgrounds, synthesizers, but everything added so intricately that it does not disturb this Black Metal storm - the musical layers of aggression contained here - but gives it space and pathos. All this brings to mind not only the group's earlier achievements, but also the genre's traditional sound, dating back to the early '90s. It is worth mentioning that the raw, basement-like sound of Arkona is left behind for good. Now, although still sharp and full of coldness, is very refined and powerful as well. Thanks to this, their music may have gained greater accessibility, but also power and maturity. It is deeper and more essential in its structure than ever before.
"Age of Capricorn" is without a doubt one of the best achievements of Arkona, but wait, has this band ever recorded a weak album?! Well, not really! Only technique was shaped, and now we see its fruit. I am very happy that the band is in the Debemur Morti catalogue. I respect this label very much and I consider it one of the leading when it comes to Black Metal. Seeing our band next to such heroes as Archgoat, Behexen or Blut Aus Nord is a reason to be proud!
Arkona has created a musically perfect album, lyrically intriguing and proving their cult status on Polish and European underground scene! Nothing but listen! A must!
