To jest to! Wreszcie! Tego szukam w klasycznym heavy metalu, takie granie jest jeszcze w stanie w tym gatunku i estetyce zaskarbić sobie moją uwagę. Niestety, heavy metal ostatnimi czasy mocno mnie sobą zanudził, nie byłem w stanie znaleźć żadnego zespołu, który przywróciłby we mnie chęć dalszego eksplorowania tego grania, wyłączając stare klasyki. Wszystko było wtórne, płytkie, pozbawione energii lub oryginalności, lub po prostu tych dobrych, chwytliwych riffów, które nuci się potem pod nosem. Tym przecież mocno stary dobry heavy metal stoi. Bladestorm swoim EP "Storm of Blades" przywrócili mi wiarę w to granie! Słychać w tym pasję, energię i pomysł na swoje granie. I bynajmniej w składzie nie ma młodzików, a są to Panowie już z konkretnym stażem na scenie i oblataniem w metalowej muzie. Połowa składu to niegdysiejsi muzycy wrocławskiego, death/thrashowego Leviathana. Zespół częstuje nas trzema autorskimi numerami, które kopią dupsko, że aż potem siedzieć ciężko! Jest w tym stary Judas Priest, Accept z czasów świetności, Pretty Maids z okresu debiutanckiego "Red, Hot & Heavy" czy szczypta Running Wild. Czyste złoto! A nad tym wszystkim wisi ta wyjątkowa energia, która nadaje materiałowi "tego czegoś", tej swoistej magii. Całość materiału zwieńczona jest coverem Priestów "Jawbreaker" i autentycznie zostajemy z połamanymi szczenami. Niech Bladestorm nagrywa w te pędy pełny album i do ataku! Jeńców nie będzie!

This is it! At last! This is what I am looking for in classic heavy metal, such music is still able to attract my attention in this genre and aesthetics. Unfortunately, heavy metal has bored me a lot lately, I was not able to find any band that would restore in me the desire to explore this music further, excluding the old classics. Everything was secondary, shallow, without energy or originality, or just those good, catchy riffs that you are later humming. This is what good old heavy metal stands for, right? Bladestorm with their EP "Storm of Blades" restored my faith in this kind of metal! You can hear the passion, energy and idea for the performed stuff. And there are no youngsters in the line-up, these are gentlemen with a specific experience on stage and knowledge in metal music. Half of the line-up are former musicians of Wrocław's (Poland) death/thrash Leviathan. The band gives us three compositions that kicks ass so much that is is hard to sit after it! There is old Judas Priest in it, Accept from their gold days, Pretty Maids from their debut "Red, Hot & Heavy" and a pinch of Running Wild. Pure gold! And above it all hangs this unique energy that gives the material "that something", this kind of magic. The whole material is crowned with the Priests "Jawbreaker" cover and we genuinely stay with broken jaws. Let Bladestorm record a full-length album withut hesitation and storm the scene! There will be no prisoners!
