Incinerator/Pure Massacre - The Second Death split (Putrid Cult 2020)

Kolejny split z udziałem naszego rodzimego Incinerator (zdaje się, że już trzeci). Tym razem dzielą płytę z argentyńskim jednoosobowym zespołem Pure Massacre, który na tym splicie debiutuje. Incinerator po raz kolejny udowadnia, że miano polskiego Cannibal Corpse nie jest wcale takie przesadzone. Dostajemy tu raz jeszcze dawkę starego, klasycznego Death Metalu i poza wspomnianymi i oczywistymi wpływami Cannibal Corpse można usłyszeć też nieco Vader czy Slaughter (nawet cover tutaj popełnili!). Grańsko bez najmniejszej skazy i złego słowa rzec nie można. Panowie umieją w Death Metal i przywołują lata świetności gatunku! Brzmi to świetnie i jakbym nie wiedział, że to zespół działający obecnie, to pomyślałbym, że to jakaś zapomniana perła z początku lat 90.
Pure Massacre to już nieco inny Death Metal, wokalnie bliski Incantation, Deicide, natomiast brzmieniowo oscyluje to wokół Asphyx i tych cięższych płyt szwedzkiej sceny. Riffy są mocarne, gęste, trącą nieco tym gitarowym piachem. Ciekawy i dobrze zagrany materiał, tym bardziej, że za wszystkie instrumenty odpowiada jedna osoba. Za to należy się szacunek i uznanie.
Zespoły zostały tu dobrane bardzo dobrze, wpasowując się w klasykę swojego rzemiosła i zestawione w sposób zbalansowany, prezentując dwa różne style grania w obrębie tego samego gatunku. Dla fanów Incinerator jest to mus, dla tych, którzy nie znają - świetny wstęp, no i okazja zapoznania się z debiutującym Pure Massacre.

Another split featuring Polish Incinerator (seems to be the third one already). This time they share the CD with the Argentinian one-man band Pure Massacre, which debuts on this split. Incinerator once again proves that the name of Polish Cannibal Corpse is not so exaggerated. Here we get once again a dose of old, classic Death Metal and, apart from the mentioned and obvious Cannibal Corpse influences, you can also hear a bit Vader or Slaughter (they even made a cover from their stuff!). Very good stuff and nothing bad can be said about it. These guys know how to play Death Metal and bring back the years of the genre's splendor! It sounds great and if I hadn't known it was a band playing currently, I would have thought it was some forgotten pearl from the early 90s.
Pure Massacre is a bit different Death Metal, vocally close to Incantation, Deicide, while the sound oscillates around Asphyx and those heavier albums of the Swedish scene. Riffs are heavy, dense, with that characteristic "sand" in guitar sound. Interesting and well-played material, the more that one person is responsible for all the instruments. Respect for that.
The bands have been selected very well here, fitting into the classics of their art and combined in a balanced way, presenting two different styles of playing within the same genre. For Incinerator fans it is a must, for those who do not know - a great introduction and an opportunity to get acquainted with Pure Massacre's debut.
