"I'm the devil and I'm here to do the devil's work!". Tymi słowami rozpoczyna się "Natas Liah", nowy album jeden z pomorskich bestii. Skłamałbym mówiąc, że nie darzę Hell-Born szczególnym sentymentem. Chyba nie nagrali albumu czy utworu, który by mi się nie podobał, a przynajmniej takowego nie pamiętam. Ucieszył mnie jakiś czas temu fakt, że Baal i Les postanowili wskrzesić te piekielne zwłoki i ponownie grać pod szyldem Hell-Born, no i że ich kolejnego pełniaka wyda Darek i jego Odium Records. Tak oto w styczniu 2021, po trzynastu latach od wydania "Darkness", pojawia się "Natas Liah". I od razu mówię, ci, którzy czekali na czysto death metalowy kopniak, jakim był poprzednik, mogą się nie spotkać ze swoimi oczekiwaniami. W zamian dostajemy materiał jeszcze lepszy, wdrażający nową formę, bardziej oldschoolową estetykę i bezpośrednie, prostsze kompozycje. To wciąż jest ten death metalowy Hell-Born, ale wpleciony w ogrom inspiracji pierwszą falą black metalu. Tak, to Hell-Born, który cofa się w czasie, żeby przemycić w swoich kompozycjach odniesienia do starego Bathory, Hellhammer, Venom czy jadowitego Destruction, którego to Les od zawsze był fanem. I to nie wszystko. Pojawia się tu nowy klimat, jest mroczniej, bardziej złowieszczo. Tu też mamy do czynienia z kolejnym black metalowym pierwiastkiem, który na myśl przywodzi Darkthrone z czasów ich sławetnej płytowej trylogii - wiecie, o co chodzi. Jednym słowem dostajemy stary-nowy Hell-Born, który tym razem nie idzie czysto w swoje death metalowe oblicze, a przemyca do niego oldschoolowe granie sprzed trzydziestu lat. I szczerze, nie wiem, jak może się to nie podobać. Jedynym minusem albumu jest jego nieco płaskie brzmienie, miejscami aż prosi się o solidniejszego kopa. Tu są same dobre kompozycje i większe pierdolnięcie w sekcji rytmicznej byłoby w punkt. Dostalibyśmy album idealny! Niemniej te numery tak się bronią, że można na to przymknąć oko. Także nie przychodzi mi nic innego, jak pogratulować Baalowi, Lesowi i Diabolizerowi naprawdę znakomitej płyty - płyty, z której mogą być dumni. Dla mnie ewidentnie premiera miesiąca! Rzekłem!

"I'm the devil and I'm here to do the devil's work!". With these words begins "Natas Liah", a new album of one of the Pomeranian beasts. I would be lying if I said that I have no particular fondness for Hell-Born. I don't think they've made an album or a song that I don't like, or at least I don't remember such one. I was glad that Baal and Les decided to resurrect this hellish corpse and play again under the Hell-Born banner, and that their next full-length will be released by Darek and his Odium Records. Thus, in January 2021, thirteen years after the release of "Darkness", "Natas Liah" appears. And I say right away, for those who were waiting for a purely death metal kick, which the predecessor was, the album may not live up to their expectations. In return, we get even better material, implementing a new form, more oldschool aesthetics and direct, simpler compositions. It's still that death metal Hell-Born, but mixed with the enormity of inspiration from the first wave of black metal. Yes, it's Hell-Born that goes back in time to smuggle references to the old Bathory, Hellhammer, Venom or the poisonous Destruction, which Les has always been a fan of. And that's not all. A new atmosphere appears here, it is darker, more ominous. Here we are dealing with another black metal element as well that brings to mind Darkthrone from the times of their famous album trilogy - you know what I mean here. In a word, we get the old-new Hell-Born, which this time doesn't go purely into its death metal form, but sneaks oldschool music from thirty years ago into their concept. And honestly, I don't know how you might not like it. The only disadvantage of the album is its slightly flat sound, sometimes it just begs for a more solid kick. There are only good compositions here, and a bigger blow in the rhythm section would be fine. We would get a perfect album then! Nevertheless, these compositions defend themselves so much that you can turn a blind eye to it. Also, I can't think of anything else but to congratulate Baal, Les and Diabolizer on a really excellent album, an album they can be proud of. For me, clearly the premiere of the month! I have spoken!
