English translation:
We have the first new material from 2020 on the blog! I've been waiting for this CD since December and... it blew me away completely! Greg told me that things would happen and he was right! Zero compromises, calculations, rules, but still ambitious. Wilczyca serves us material deeply rooted in the early '90s. The sound and atmosphere are very similar to what we know from "Transilvanian Hunger" or "Panzefaust" by Darkthrone and from the first Burzum albums (especially debut and "Filosofem"). But that's not all, oh no! The title composition is clearly winking at the early Kat. Not the vocals, not the sound, but the riffs that appear in it (still of course in the same sound quality). Absolute bat out of hell, the more that the rest of the album is a classic BM basement stuff. You can also come across longer instrumental passages, like in the song "Burza", a bit of melancholy and somber - "Rok Pierwszy" and a dark ambient element, mantric monotony in "Przyjdź" (the riff that repeats in a larger part of the song brings to mind Cult of Fire, and more specifically their instrumental track from the second album). For me, this album is in a sense a revelation in a well-known form. The proof that something so raw and organic can somehow be varied, without ever leaving that form. It's slightly over half an hour of material on which a lot is happening. And what's more, you really feel like playing it again and again. It doesn't overeat.
Wilczyca makes her debut remarkable and the announcements that something special would happen were true. For me it is a record worthy of attention and recognition. I applaud and bow to the band - for ideas and their execution, and Greg that he had found them! I think this is this year's must when it comes to Black Metal!
