Mamy już kwiecień, i do tej pory nowością płytową, która mnie tak konkretnie zachwyciła był powrotny album Hell-Born. Teraz, niestety z poślizgiem, piszę o drugim wyczekiwanym przeze mnie krążku i kolejnym powrocie z pełnym albumem po latach. Mowa tu o Dragonie i "Arcydziele zagłady". Pierwsze dźwięki i "cholera, ale moc!". Już pierwszy, otwierający płytę numer - "Przemoc" - to arcykiller. Potem jest tylko lepiej lub, jak kto woli, tak samo dobrze. Utwór tytułowy czy też "Nie zginaj kolan" to istne death/thrashowe bestie. Zespół brzmi znakomicie i świetnie balansuje chwytliwe riffy z różnymi zawijasami i zmianami tempa. W tych numerach po prostu się dzieje, kompozycje są misternie poukładane, pokazując pomysłowość i kunszt twórców, a jednocześnie bardzo zapadając w pamięć, mając w sobie również jakąś nutę prostszych rozwiązań i melodyjności. To po prostu zostaje słuchaczowi w głowie. Gronos i Fred są w super formie, słychać, że to fundamenty tego zespołu, nic w tej kwestii nie zmieniło się od lat 90. Do zespołu, wraz z "Arcydziełem zagłady" dołączyli Krzysztof "Fazee" Oset (ex Kat) oraz młody perkusista Mikołaj Toczko. Bass Fazeego jest na tym materiale wyeksponowany, słychać go wyraźnie, co fajnie podrasowuje brzmienie i głębię płyty, natomiast perkusja Mikołaja daje jej sporą dawkę energii i konkretnego kopa. Niemniej powiedzieć trzeba jasno, że to gitary i wokal robią ten album, bez dwóch zdań. Wiosła Gronosa to klasa sama w sobie i tutaj ciężko coś dodawać, natomiast Fred odwala tu pracę wręcz wzorcową. Zawsze wysoko oceniałem jego głos, ale tutaj mamy chyba jego najlepsze osiągnięcie. Wokal brzmi brutalnie, ciężko, a do tego jest bardzo czytelny, dobrze zaaranżowany. Cymes! Tak, same pozytywy się tu leją, ale nie jestem w stanie powiedzieć złego słowa o tym albumie, nawet o jego okładce, która może się niektórym wydawać kiczowata. Oczywiście, życzyłbym tu sobie jakiegoś fajnego dzieła imć Kurczaka, ale ej, ja tam kupuję te smoki. Powiem tak: na niwie death/thrash metalu, przynajmniej naszego krajowego, nie słyszałem w ostatnim czasie niczego tak dobrego. Myślałem, że niepodzielnie królować tu będzie Vader ze swoim, notabene bardzo udanym, "Solitude in Madness", ale niestety. Dragon i "Arcydzieło zagłady" pobili tę płytkę w przedbiegach. Jestem tym zaskoczony, ale tak to widzę i cieszy mnie ten fakt. Dragon na to zasługuje. Płyta klasa! Nic, tylko czekać na koncerty.

It's April already, and so far a new album that I enjoyed most has been the return one of Hell-Born. Now, unfortunately with a slip, I am writing about the second record awaited by me and another return with a full album after many years. I'm talking about Dragon and "Arcydzieło zagłady". The first sounds and "damn it, what a power!". The first track that opens the album - "Przemoc" - is already an archkiller. Then it is only better or, if you prefer, just as good. The title track or "Nie zginaj kolan" is a real death/thrash beast. The band sounds great and balances catchy riffs with different composition twists and tempo changes. Things are just happening here, the compositions are intricately arranged, showing the creativity and artistry of the creators, and at the same time very memorable, also having a hint of simpler solutions and melody. It just stays in the listener's head. Gronos and Fred are in great shape, you can hear that they are the foundations of this band, nothing has changed in this matter since the 90s. Along with "Arcydzieło zagłady", Krzysztof "Fazee" Oset (ex Kat) and the young drummer Mikołaj Toczko joined the band. Fazee's bass is exposed on this material, you can hear it clearly, which nicely tweaks the sound and depth of the album, while Mikołaj's drums give it a lot of energy and a specific kick. Nevertheless, it must be said clearly that the guitars and the vocals make this album, without a doubt. Gronos' guitars are cream of the crop and it's hard to add anything here, while Fred does exemplary work here. I have always rated his voice highly, but here we have probably his best achievement. The vocals sound brutal, heavy, and also very clear, well arranged. Perfect! Yes, only the positives are emerging here, but I can't say a bad word about this album, not even about its cover, which may seem lame to some people. Of course, I wish we got some nice work from Mr Kurczak here, but hey, I like these dragons. Let me put it this way: in the field of death/thrash metal, at least the Polish one, I haven't heard anything so good recently. I thought that Vader would reign supreme here with his very successful "Solitude in Madness", but unfortunately no. Dragon and "Arcydzieło zagłady" beat it in the run-up. I am surprised, but this is how I see it and I like that fact. Dragon deserves it. Top album! Just waiting for the concerts.
